ORCH.LYRIQUE et SYM.DE NANCY/CARLO GUAITOLI/SCOGNA
Artist
Cristian Carrara (Pordenone, 1977) is considered one of the most original composers of his generation. He writes mainly symphonic and chamber music, but also works for the musical theater and television.
Carrara about his understanding of music: "Music is born of silence. Every sound has its meaning only if its beauty is based on silence. Silence is the origin and the end of every melody, of all music. A silent background is not empty, quite the contrary. He is filled with expectation, he is ready to step into the light, he needs attention. It is the moment before the conductor's movement sets the concert in motion, the surreal silence of a forest at night, at the rest of nature."
