Description
10 years of career are in favour of this texan trio fixed in new iorque since the recording of their first album in 1999. The group led by aurelio valle ascends with collisions, its fourth long-lasting, to the first division of North American alternative rock, placing itself in front of the movement, ombrendo with already consecrated bands like the strokes, interpol u the Walkmen.
collisions was a complicated production disk, due to a succession of unexpected events (from management problems to the bassist's exit on the first day of recordings), which marked their outcome definitively. what at first seemed to transform the recording into an authentic disaster, it was established as a starting point from which, paradoxically, the ideas that marked the final result, also it fruit of the tireless help of chris zane and victor van vugt (nick basement, pj harvey, among others,) in production and mixing.
each calla disk is a challenging object of expectations. in each release the collective experiences an evolution on the previous edition and adds new elements, which grant them a unique identity. Psychalism and some pop sensibility perceptively united and underlined by the charismatic voice of valle.
