Banda britânica Heavy Metal, ativa desde 1982. O TOKYO BLADE provou ser extremamente popular na Europa em turnê regularmente, mas não conseguiu inflamar o interesse suficiente na Grã-Bretanha, apesar de avaliações elogiosas constantes. Em última análise, o impetus da banda, fornecido inicialmente por uma safra de fortes singles e álbuns da era NWoBHM, foi coberto por uma série de ups instáveis.
Anteriormente conhecido como KILLERS , apresentando uma linha de vocalista Alan Marsh, guitarristas Andy Boulton, e Ray Disemore, baixista Andy Robbins e baterista Steve Pierce, o grupo Salisbury lançou a demo 'For Serious Applicants Only' em 1981 antes de adotar o novo título de GENGHIS KHAN. Como GENGHIS KHAN, o quinteto lançou três singles antes de uma nova mudança de nome para TOKYO BLADE, re-issando o single "If Heaven Is Hell" sob o novo título e, naturalmente, em novas embalagens. O TOKYO BLADE atraiu a atenção do selo Powerstation baseado em York e o selo independente lançou o álbum de estreia auto-intitulado da banda de cinco peças em 1983.
