now that peter gabriel has ready a new album is time to remember its past re-editing its first solo records from 1977 to 1992.
peter gabriel refused to give titles to their first four solo albums (all were called peter gabriel changing only artwork from the cover), since I would like them to be considered a same job; later they were differentiated through a numbering and the cover content,
recording sessions between 1981 and 1982 with the producer david lord ended up resulting in the fourth lp on the ground, whose production had more responsibility for the singer. Despite the peculiar sound and the themes motivated by the disturbance, the album was welcomed by everyone, criticized and public in general, bringing the great hit shock the monkey that also became a reference by the innovative videoclip that accompanied it.

English singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and entrepreneur (born 13 February 1950 in Chobham, Surrey, England, UK). Father of photographer and film director Anna Gabriel (born 26 July 1974), and singer Melanie Gabriel (born 23 August 1976). He was the original lead singer of prog-rockers Genesis since 1967 but left in 1975 to pursue solo projects. As well as becoming a multi-platinum selling albums artist, he was the founder of the annual WOMAD music festival, owns one of Britain's most in-demand recording studios, Real World Studios, and jointly owns the recording studio hardware manufacturer Solid State Logic.
