?the age of the understatement? is the name of the album and debut single of the last shadow puppets, u.e. alex turner (vocalist of the arctic monkeys) and miles kane (of the rascals.) this cd consists of 12 musicas recorded in the black box studios in nantes, frança, in the summer of 2007 and was produced by james ford. the orchestration of the tracks was conducted by owen pallett and recorded by the 22 musicians of the london metropolitan orchestra.

The Last Shadow Puppets is a supergroup consisting of Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane formerly of The Rascals (2), and composer/producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco and formerly of Simian. Owen Pallett (formerly known as Final Fantasy (2)) has also worked with the band on string arrangements.
