The album was recorded for eleven days, in the sound emporium, in nashville, and in the village recallers, in los angeles, with production of t doll burnett.
all songs are new and composed by costello, except for ?i lost you?,
co-authored divided with jim lauderdale, and ?all these strangers?, in which costello and t doll burnett collaborated on the lyrics. are also the lyricists of ?my lovely jezebel?, a rock?n melody? roll de leon russell, which leads to the piano the trio formed by Thomas/Crouch/Ribot.
