Description
this cd is the result of an extraordinary mix of talent and technology. The story begins in
1978, when ray charles and count basie, two of the greatest geniuses of the song, met for one
recording session, ray was in an extraordinary moment in vocal form, but unfortunately, the
orchestral part left enough to be desired, the tapes were neat and forgotten. Thanks to technology
today, the producers of this cd, who were also responsible for the fabulous "genius loves
company", managed to connect the voice of ray, taken from the original recording, to a current recording of
Count Basie orchestra. The result is absolutely remarkable. "georgia on my mind", "let the good
roll teams", "the long and widing road" and many other fantastic songs in unique interpretations.
