Nashville & Backbones is a band from Rimini (Italy) originated in 1998, comprising original duo Matteo De Angeli and Michele Tani, in 2001 they became a trio with the addition of Marcello Dolci. Since the beginning they have been very active in the local live club scene, then in 2012 they released their first original record “Haul In The Nets - Deluxe Edition”, followed up by the more complex and mature “Cross The River” in 2015. After that the band put the songwriting process on hold while working on their new live show with a now larger ensemble of musicians now including also Elisa Semprini, Davide Mastroianni and Tommy Graziani. Their last record is “Christmas Songs” of 2017. In the last years they went back to a more acoustic line-up more similar to their beginnings, thus becoming the stable quartet they are today. Their main selling points are the vocal harmonies created by the three solo singers, their personal takes on the cover songs they perform and their highly energic and captivating live sets. Lately they've been busy writing new material which will end up on their third original record.

Le origini del sound dei Nashville & Backbones sono nella west-coast americana, quella di artisti come Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, America, CSN&Y. Ma non si fermano lì. Radici nel passato e sguardo al futuro, per un folk/country dalle forti tinte pop e rock, senza mai rinunciare alla sperimentazione e alla contaminazione. Il repertorio è composto da brani originali e cover storiche in versione country-folk.
L’ormai lunga e consolidata esperienza live li rende una delle band più interessanti da vedere dal vivo; nei loro concerti c’è spazio per il divertimento fine a sé stesso, così come per un ascolto più attento alle sfumature e ai colori cangianti.
