Description
CHRISTIAN METAL / MARBLE BLUE VINYL
Artist
The band, founded by brothers Dale Thompson and Troy Thompson (2) from the US, was initially called Matrix (51). They released 4 independent cassettes. When they got a record contract with Pure Metal in 1986 they changed their name to Bride. Three albums and a compilation were released on Pure Metal, before they moved on to Star Song and released three albums with them (with the first one on the Pure Metal imprint). One of these, Snakes In The Playground (1992), is generally considered to be the quintessential Bride record. They released an album with Rugged Records (1995), two with Organic Records (2) (1997-1998), one with Absolute Records (3) (2001), and they are currently with Retroactive Records.
Bride has released many independent, limited edition projects which include live recordings, demo projects and reissues, both in audio and video format. Initially these were sold without any retail distribution directly to their fans, later on they got access to M8 Distribution distribution channels.
Bride announced that Incorruptible (2013) would be their final album, but came out of retirement with Snake Eyes (2018) and are still recording.
