recorded for six months in the hansa studio in berlin and windmill lane in dublin, achtung baby is the seventh studio album of the u2. produced by long-time collaborators such as daniel lanois and brian eno with steve lillywhite, was presented to the world by the fly and gave rise to other great singles like, mysterioo ways, one, even better than the real thing and?

the achtung baby files brought to the unpublished material surface taken from the recording sessions. a set of contents - video, remixes, b-sides and documentary recordings - namely a full album of demos and early versions that would become the final tracklist of 1991.

five physical editions including vinyl, cd and dvd will be available, as well as digital solutions. all details about the formats can be found on achtungbaby.u2.com.

Earlier this year the u2 returned to the hansa studio in berlin to discuss the achtung baby in from the sky down project, directed by the winning director of several awards of the academy, davis guggenheim (waiting for superman, an inconvenient truth). the film was selected to inaugurate the international film festival toronto on September 8 and will be included in the anniversary version.

Artist

Dubliners U2 started in their hometown in 1976. They began their legacy rooting their music in the political turmoil that was all around them.

After having Steve Lillywhite produce their first three albums, U2 looked for a more sophisticated and experimental sound. They hired Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno to produce "The Unforgettable Fire" and "The Joshua Tree" albums, which both put them onto the charts all over the world.

After the 80s ended U2 re-invented themselves once again. Incorporating elements of electronics into their rock construct, U2 created a new sound with "Achtung Baby". Bono and the band used their notoriety more than ever expressing their opinions on social matters on a global scale.

Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 (Performer).
