No Line On The Horizon

Description

composed and recorded in several locations, on the line on the horizon is the group's 12th studio album and is the first edition of the band since the very successful album how to dismantle an atomic bomb, edited in 2004, already counting over 9 million units sold.

the recordings of no line on the horizon began last year in Fez, Moroccans, and continued in the band's own studio in dublin, before passing to the platinum sound recording studios, in new York, to finally be completed in the olympic studios in London.

for the production of the album were called the long-standing collaborators brian eno and danny lanois, with the additional help of steve lillywhite.

the disk will be edited in 5 versions:

- standard: jewel box with 24-page cd and booklet

- digipack cd: limited edition with cd, booklet of 36 color pages and a poster. access to a unique corbijn anton film for download. also includes in cd an extra theme (inserted in the British standard edition).

- box: limited edition that includes: cd in digipack format, dvd with anton corbijn film, 64-page cover book and a poster.

- magazine: limited edition in magazine format, with cd included in a magazine of 60 pages and access to the download of the anton corbijn film.

- double vinyl

Artist

Dubliners U2 started in their hometown in 1976. They began their legacy rooting their music in the political turmoil that was all around them.

After having Steve Lillywhite produce their first three albums, U2 looked for a more sophisticated and experimental sound. They hired Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno to produce "The Unforgettable Fire" and "The Joshua Tree" albums, which both put them onto the charts all over the world.

After the 80s ended U2 re-invented themselves once again. Incorporating elements of electronics into their rock construct, U2 created a new sound with "Achtung Baby". Bono and the band used their notoriety more than ever expressing their opinions on social matters on a global scale.

Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 (Performer).
