Description
is perhaps the most anticipated Portuguese album of the year and promises to turn the world to the contrary.
is the record that celebrates the 25 years of xuto career, but is it not a "best of" or a recorded live record? is an album of originals, expected with anxiety three years ago, and where one can find "ai if it falls," which already touches the radios and is already in everyone's mouth.
produced by cajó (which for several years is sound technician of the xutos & kicks) and nuno rafael (ex-Despe and follow,) the world on the contrary proves the creative vitality of the most consistent portugal band
the group that one day wanted to be "like the punks", the group that "or recorded u separated", the group that stubbornly broke up with the siege and jumped into the middle of a "crew of beasts," the group that filled the Atlantic pavilion and had 20 groups to interpret 20 of its songs in its 20 years, is the same group that commemorates the 25 years with the world to CONTRARY this year.
this is one of those moments when what is new is also something we recognize, in the reunion with tim, pedro, kalú and headboard in the world to CONTRARY.
Artist
Widely considered the most popular Portuguese rock band, Xutos & Pontapés have a career spanning more than 40 years.
While they retain some punk influences (earlier albums) throughout the years, their style has remained essentially the same: their own brand of mostly mainstream rock/AOR.
Members are Tim (lead vocals and bass), Kalú (drums and backing vocals), João Cabeleira (lead guitar) and Gui (sax alto and backing vocals). Former members were Zé Leonel (deceased 2011), Francis, and Zé Pedro (deceased 2017) (guitar, backing vocals and occasional lead vocals).
