"the girl in the other room" is a record loaded with emotions; the death of the mother of krall and the recent marriage of the singer with elvis costello are two events that deeply mark the entire conception of the album.

Co-produced by krall and tommy lipuma this cd marks the debut of Canadian in the interpretation of his own repertoire, six of the twelve themes have the signature of krall in partnership with costello that took place fundamentally of the lyrics.

as always portugal is one of the priorities of the singer who was in Lisbon at the end of March in promotion. in addition to press interviews, krall was live in the rfm auditorium for a special "peaceous ocean" and played four themes of the new album: temptation a tom waits original full of swing, "the girl in the other room", "almost blue" a theme of elvis costello and "narrow daylight" a magnificent ballad.
