X Marcas O Pedwalk foi iniciado em 1987 por André Schmechta (Sevren Ni-Arb) e seu amigo da escola Jörg Böhme (Regan Eracs), mas eles usaram o nome Scarecrow no início. André e Jörg fizeram "Black Door" (Scarecrow), "Arbitrary Execution", "Danger/Disease Control", Abattoir, Freaks e Cenotaph juntos, então Jörg Böhme deixou a banda. Ele foi substituído pelo irmão de André Thorsten (Raive Yarx). André Schmechta colocou de lado seu trabalho em X Marks The Pedwalk no final dos anos 90 para se concentrar em sua família e carreira.
X Marks the Pedwalk retornou no final de 2009/agora 2010 com um novo álbum e single, com shows ao vivo em 2010.
