Artista
Banda de rock psicodélico formada por Daevid Allen e Gilli Smyth na França em 1969. Gong tornou-se pioneiro de uma nova marca de psicoedelia/espaço-rock/trip-rock - com um ethos conceitual envolvendo alienígenas e realidades alternativas. Uma roupa internacional, cada vez mais ligada a outras bandas da cena Canterbury, muitos músicos vieram e foram. Sem Daevid a banda continuou com Steve Hillage como líder por um curto período de tempo, e depois em várias encarnações como o mais jazz-rock estilo Pierre Moerlen's Gong. Há muitas outras versões de Gong ao longo dos anos, e muitas reformas desde 1990.
